Vintage 1970s figa pendant in a dark coloured lapis lazuli with a silver mount.

A figa symbol - in the shape of a hand with the thumb between index and middle fingers - dates back to nearly 8,000 years ago. It is considered in some cultures to be such an obscene gesture that it can act as a talisman that protects from evil.
